Nodepad MCP is live. Connect an MCP client with OAuth 2.1 and PKCE; no pasted API token is required.

7 live tools: nodepad_workspace, nodepad_node, nodepad_capture, nodepad_project, nodepad_binding, nodepad_history, nodepad_runbook

Start with nodepad_workspace. Its list, context and resume actions orient an agent before it changes a pad. Capture, node, runbook, history, binding and project workflows are available through the other Nodepad tools. A plain capture remembers; end it with ★ (or " *") to also make a Note.

REST compatibility:
GET https://next.nodepad.tools/api/v1/nodepads/:short_id/context

The context response includes the current subject, last thought, open decisions, questions, blockers, ideas, parked items, outcomes and recent captures. The REST endpoint and nodepad_workspace context use the same digest.
